Organic Greens

wheatgrass

I highly believe that the natural vitamins and minerals that come from our food and diet are superior to synthetic vitamins bought in a bottle. Herbs, greens, grains, vegetables and fruits etc. contain the vitamins we need, that’s why a healthy bar like SuperBar was developed. Onebody healthbars deliver more, not just x amount of protein per serving combined synthetic or unhealthy stuff to make it taste good. Protein is not everything. Your body needs more – nutrients!

Wheat grass juice, Barley grass juice and spirulina – also called ”super greens” are filled with nutrients like vitamins, minerals, anti-oxidants, trace elements, chlorophyll, enzymes and proteins for your body. These greens are also said to help to alkalize your system.

Spirulina is blue-green algae and is high in vitamins, minerals, carotenoids and protein. Barley grass is another excellent source of Chlorophyll and also contains a huge number of vitamins and minerals, e.g. Vitamins A, B1, B2, Folic Acid and B12, C, Iron and Calcium as well as high levels of electrolyte minerals Potassium, Magnesium, and Phosphorus. Wheatgrass is a kind of grass. Wheatgrass is primarily used as a concentrated source of nutrients. It contains vitamin A, vitamin C, and vitamin E, iron, calciummagnesium, and amino acids.

Organic protein

Nature provides us with many sources of protein, of which a few are considered more healthy and tolerable, being gluten-free, hypoallergenic and completely vegan – protein from brown rice and buckwheat!

Brown rice protein

brownrice

First of all rice protein is very easily digested and it has a balanced amino acid profile and is rich in essential vitamins and minerals, including phosphorus, iron, potassium and B-vitamins such as thiamin (B1), riboflavin (B2), and niacin (B3). It also contains tocopherol and tocotrienols, which are a good source of vitamin E. It is said that the body can absorb up to 99% of brown rice protein!

Buckwheat

buckwheat

Buckwheat has even more protein than rice, wheat, millet or corn and is high in the essential amino acids lysine and arginine, in which major cereal crops are deficient. Yet, buckwheat contains no gluten—the source of protein in true grains—and is therefore safe for people with gluten allergy or celiac disease.

Buckwheat contains the eight essential amino acids, as well as high proportions of manganese, magnesium and fiber. Finally, it also contains two flavonoids. Firstly, there`s quercetin, thought to support healing in the body. Secondly, there`s rutin which is an antioxidant. Rutin also strengthens the capillaries and circulation.

Crude protein is 18%, with biological values above 90%.[11] This can be explained by a high concentration of all essential amino acids,[12] especially lysine, threonine, tryptophan, and the sulphur-containing amino acids.[13]

You find these fantastic protein – all organic in our healthy bars.
